Nga Mahi Haka
2026 Australian Kapa Haka Regionals
We most recently participated in the Australian Kapa Haka Regionals, as the only kapa (group) representing WA at the Te Matatini qualifying competition. Although we were not fortunate in qualifying, our performers had a wonderful time; with many being their very first competitive stand. Proud is an understatement!
Wanneroo Show
For 14 years, Manawa Mai Tawhiti has constantly been a part of the Wanneroo Agricultural Show; a community event for the Wanneroo community, held annually in November. We are forever grateful to Rhonda and the team for allowing us to return, year in, year out, to celebrate and connect our culture with the community.
Fusion Food Festival
Another regular gig for us, is the City of Gosnells Fusion Festival; a community event that celebrates the richness of food and culture within the WA community. These two elements go hand-in-hand in the connection between cultures, and promotes the importance that culture and food play in connection.
Perform With Us
Song, dance, and lyrics in the Maori language help us pay respect to our elders past and present. We love our home in Western Australia, and we love sharing our New Zealand heritage with our new community here.
